You have always asked us curious about details about our Glüh Gin and here is finally everything you want to know about it. Just in time for the start of the cold season, we are happy to share some interesting facts with you.
The idea
The birth of our Glüh Gin began in the winter of 2020 during the long lockdown. The longing for a cosy gathering at the winter market, with a warming cup of punch, was enormous. Unfortunately, this was not possible. So we activated the search engine, browsed through delicious punch recipes, and the frustration rised when we came across long lists of ingredients at some recipes, of which we didn't have a lot at home. The solution to this "punch problem" came in the form of a bottle of Alpengin, which we left with classic winter fruits and spices for a few weeks. Our first Glüh Gin prototype was now born. A hot apple juice in the cup, refined with a good dash of Glüh Gin, and voilà - the Glüh Gin, the fast hot drink with our Alpengin, was born.
What is the best way to drink the Glüh Gin?
Here is our recommendation: Mix 200 ml of hot apple juice with 4 cl Alpengin - Glüh Gin. As a garnish, a apple slice, orange and a cinnamon stick fit wonderfully.
How is the durability of Glüh Gin?
With an alcohol content of 40%, our Glüh Gin is almost unlimited durable. But honestly he usually doesn't even survive a season. ;)
Can I enjoy the Glüh Gin pure?
Yes and no. Basically, the Glüh Gin can also be enjoyed pure. However, it is more like a concentrate, as it unfolds its full taste when mixed with a hot apple juice.
Is sugar included in the Glüh Gin?
No, sugar-free! The perfect balance is created in the mixture with, for example, apple juice, which is already sweet enough for most.
