What happens when you place our classic Alpengin in a former rhum agricole barrel for 18 months? You get a unique limited edition that combines the Alpine freshness of our gin with the depth and sweetness of Caribbean rum culture.

Gin in a barrel? What is a Barrel Aged Dry Gin?
Barrel-aged gin, also called barrel-aged gin, is a special category for connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Aging in oak barrels gives the gin depth, complexity, and a smooth, rounded structure. The essential oils from juniper and botanicals harmonize with the aromas of the barrel – in our case:
A rhum agricole barrel from Martinique,
made in Cognac, France,
with subtle notes of vanilla, candied orange, coffee, and honey.
This unique combination gives the gin a warm, slightly sweet aroma – without losing the character of a true dry gin.
A truly unique piece
Our Alpengin Barrel Aged Dry Gin – Rum Edition is a single barrel gin – meaning it comes from exactly one barrel. When the barrel is empty, this edition is history forever.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Juniper, rum pot, dried fruits
Taste: Candied oranges, delicate vanilla, coffee, and a hint of honey
