Cycling adventures from Hotel Sonnfeld – Discover the beauty of the Pyhrn-Priel region
Start directly at the Hotel Sonnfeld and cycle towards Vorderstoder. On your way through the wooded Schinterkogel you reach the picturesque mountain village of Vorderstoder after a few metres of altitude. After an exciting descent, the route leads through Roßleithen and on to Windischgarsten. If hunger is called, there are numerous opportunities to strengthen yourself. A quick shopping in the supermarket, an aromatic espresso or a hearty meal in an inn invite you to enjoy.
Freshly strengthened it goes past the impressive Villa Sonnwend towards St. Pancraz. Here you continue cycling to the Steyr Bridge and then return to the Hotel Sonnfeld.

Explore the Stoder Valley – An unforgettable bike tour from Hotel Sonnfeld
This tour is ideal for getting to know the idyllic Stoder Valley in all its glory. Start at the Hotel Sonnfeld and continue down towards Hinterstoder. The first part of the route takes you on a road near the town centre. There you can change to a leisurely cycle path, which will take you the Kneipp facility Schiederweiher.
Once at Schiederweiher, a cosy banker's lounge above the pond invites you to a well-deserved break. If you prefer a culinary refreshment, you should continue a short distance after the shooting pasture. The trail leads you directly to Polsterstüberl, where you can enjoy regional delicacies.
Freshly strengthened, we continue towards the end of the . After you have overcome the last metres of altitude into the Baumschlagerreith, a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains awaits you. Here, too, there is the opportunity to stop in and strengthen your strength.
The return trip will take you back to the town centre of Hinterstoder, where you can take another break in one of the restaurants. After leaving Hinterstoder, enjoy a short descent before the last altitude meters take you back to the Hotel Sonnfeld

Challenging road bike tour – three climbs for experienced cyclists
This tour is perfect for road e-bikers
Start in Windischgarsten and tackle the first climb to the Lobster Pass. Once at the top, there is the possibility of stopping at an alpine pasture and strengthening yourself for the coming kilometres. Then it goes downhill until you reach the lowest point of the day in .
The second climb continues to you before reaching Admont with its impressive pen after a quick descent. From here it goes on relatively flat paths to Liezen. As soon as you leave Liezen towards the Windischgarsten, the third and final climb of the tour – the Pyhrn Pass awaits you. Once you have reached the top, you can enjoy the last descent that leads you past the Wurzeralm Windischgarsten.

Varied bike tour from Hotel Sonnfeld – Discover Altpernstein Castle and the Steyr Valley
Start your tour directly at the Hotel Sonnfeld and first take the road to the Steyrtal cycle path. Shortly after the petrol station Klaus turn left towards Micheldorf. Here you will find a climb over a mountain road that leads you up to the impressive Altpernstein Castle.
After a short break, it goes downhill via roads and gravel roads to Leonstein. There you will have the opportunity to follow the cozy Steyrtal cycle path. At the Steyrbrücke junction, take the distance back to the Stoder Valley and drive up to the Hotel Sonnfeld.

Discover the beauty of the Stoder valley on this wonderful tour. Immediately after the descent from the Hotel Sonnfeld, you will reach the idyllic Vorderstoder via the . Once you have arrived in the picturesque mountain village, the path continues to the castle
After this refreshing break, it goes back a short time before turning left to explore even more from Vorderstoder. Passing traditional farms, the route continues towards the Hinterstoder. From there, the road will finally take you back to the Hotel Sonnfeld.

Mountain bike tour from Windischgarsten – Experience the stallion pass and Wurbauerkogel
Park your car in Windischgarsten and saddle your bikes for an unforgettable mountain bike adventure. First, the route leads up to the Wurbauerkogel and then on to the Hengst Pass. Once at the top, cozy huts invite you to a deserved retreat.
Passing the idyllic Eggl Alm, it then goes downhill steeply – on a sliding route that requires special care. Then forest roads, paths and roads lead through picturesque forests and meadows, until you finally reach the windshells again.

Alex' tour tip – Discover Pyhrn-Priel and the National Park Lime Alps
This varied tour takes you through the breathtaking Pyhrn-Priel region, the Kalkalpen National Park and along the idyllic Steyrtal cycle path. You can start directly at the Hotel Sonnfeld or alternatively in Windischgarsten.
From the Sonnfeld, the tour starts on the road to Vorderstoder. Continue via Roßleithen to Windischgarsten. Passing the Villa Sonnwend, you climb the Wurbauerkogel and cycle to the highest point of the tour, the Haselsgatter.
From there it go downhill to the bivouac site Steyrsteg. Here is a short single trail, which can also be used as a sliding track depending on the skill. Then we continue downhill, past the Jagahäusl towards Molln. Shortly after Molln, you will change to the Steyrtal cycle path, which leads you to the Steyr bridge.
From there, follow the road towards the Hinterstoder and return to the Hotel Sonnfeld over the last meters.

Dream tour from Hotel Sonnfeld – Experience Höss Panorama and Rottal
Start your tour directly at the Hotel Sonnfeld. The first kilometres take you along the road to Hinterstoder. Shortly after the entrance, turn left onto Höss Panorama road, where you will find a 10 km long climb. Alternatively, you can use the cable car (As Pyhrn-Priel Card holders, you can take the comfort of your comfort from May - October, for the bike, a fee must be paid) to get yourself and your bike up.
Once at the top of the Höss, various huts invite you to a well-deserved stop. After a break, it goes over a short single trail (can be used as a sliding track depending on the ability) down to the Rottal. On relaxed forest roads, continue along the cycle path to , a cosy alpine hut with a delicious selection of snacks and many homemade products.
From there, the route leads downhill, past the picturesque Schafferte pond, directly to Vorderstoder. You can master the last meters of altitude back to the Hotel Sonnfeld via the Schinterkogel. This tour is a real highlight and offers you unforgettable panoramas and experiences.

Panoramic tour from Hotel Sonnfeld – Discover Gleinkersee and Poppenberg
Start your tour directly at the Hotel Sonnfeld and drive to the picturesque mountain village of Vorderstoder. The route leads along the road past Roßleithen to Windischgarsten – the perfect place to strengthen yourself in a shop or gastronomy.
Freshly strengthened, make your way to the Gleinkersee, a true natural jewel. After a relaxing break on the lake shore, we continue back to Vorderstoder. Finally, you will circle the Poppenberg and Steyrsberg before driving up the last altitude meters to the Hotel Sonnfeld.

From Hotel Sonnfeld directly to Steyr - fun and culture
After the first short descent, your tour will lead you out the valley. After a few kilometres, they already reach the Steyrtalradweg. This always takes you along the Steyr past the municipalities of Klaus to the Pyhrnbahn, Leonstein and Steinbach an der Steyr. Then you can reach your destination - the historic town square Steyr. After a worthy refreshment on the town square, in one of the coffee houses, you can cycle back the entire route again, or choose the leisurely route:
