Natural Toboggan Run
Just about one kilometre from the heart of Hinterstoder towards Vorderstoder, near the Landhotel Gressenbauer, lies a very special winter treat — the 1.2-kilometre Stoderer natural toboggan run with a vertical drop of 200 metres.
This thrilling winter attraction is illuminated daily until 11 p.m. when there is sufficient snow, offering exhilarating fun not only during the day but also in the evening hours.
There are several ways to reach the top: either take the scenic footpath along the run or opt for the convenient sledge taxi (fee applies) operated by Riedler, reachable at Tel. +43(0)7564/5159.
Those without their own sledge can rent one directly at the Landhotel Gressenbauer or at the sports shops in the village. An unforgettable winter experience that not only gets the adrenaline pumping but also puts the breathtaking beauty of the snow-covered landscape around Hinterstoder front and centre.

Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride
A ride in a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh through the Stodertal valley is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience that should not be missed during a stay in Hinterstoder. The same goes for a visit to the idyllic Schiederweiher lake — those who skip this picturesque spot have not truly experienced Hinterstoder in all its glory. No matter how brief the stay, the view across the mountain lake with the imposing rock faces of Spitzmauer and Großer Priel is an absolute must. Accompanied by the gentle sound of jingling bells, you glide through the snowy landscape and let childhood dreams come alive once more.
