3. Wurzeralm (free*):
The Wurzeralm is a popular hiking area with breathtaking alpine scenery. Go for a hike on one of the many trails and discover the diversity of the region's flora and fauna. Here you can discover rare plant species and, with a bit of luck, observe wildlife such as chamois. The impressive backdrop of the surrounding mountains makes the Wurzeralm an unforgettable experience for nature lovers.
4. Gleinkersee:
The Gleinkersee is a picturesque mountain lake surrounded by green forests and imposing peaks. Take a walk along the shore and let yourself be enchanted by the peace and beauty of this place. 6. Museum Between Heaven and Earth (free*):
The museum “Between Heaven and Earth – Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner and the World of the 8000ers” in Spital am Pyhrn offers a unique insight into extreme mountaineering. With Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner as its patron, it presents the history of alpinism and the requirements of extreme mountaineering, and offers an experience room with original footage of the Everest avalanche. The climbing tower in front of the museum and the 8000ers trail offer further exciting activities. Discover the world of the 8000ers at the museum!
7. Alpineum (free*):
The award-winning Alpineum is a modern exhibition centre presenting the history of the Stodertal, the work of the woodcutters, the opening-up of the Totes Gebirge and the development of skiing. With videos and acoustic effects it connects past and present. The Alpineum has been honoured as one of the best exhibition centres in Europe and regularly hosts exciting special exhibitions.
8. Adventure mountain Wurbauerkogel (free*):
The Wurbauerkogel is an adventure mountain with fun, speed and action. Here you can hike, explore the bike park, try 3D archery and ride the all-weather Alpine Coaster. The chairlift takes you comfortably to the top station, where a mountain restaurant and a panorama tower with a great view await you. The Alpine Coaster offers a fast ride on an 800-metre track with spirals, steep bends and jumps. You set the pace yourself.
9. Admont Abbey (discounted*):
Experience the largest late-baroque total work of art in the world in the monastery library of Admont Abbey. Immerse yourself in the variety and freshness of the abbey museum's diverse offering. Here you will find works of art from the Middle Ages to the present, the Natural History Museum, the Art History Museum, the Gothic Museum and fascinating multimedia presentations of the abbey – all under one roof.
10. Hutberg viewing platform in Vorderstoder:
The Hutberg viewing platform offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape of Vorderstoder. From here you can admire the impressive alpine panorama with its majestic peaks, lush meadows and deep valleys. The viewing platform is also a great place to watch the sunset and admire the beauty of the region in all its splendour.
